Big names sign for 40,000 sq ft at Intu’s Merry Hill

Two retail warehouse units totalling around 40,000 sq ft at intu Merry Hill near Dudley to B&M and Iceland.

The larger letting is to B&M, which has agreed a 15-year lease for a 31,000 sq ft store, while Iceland will occupy an 8,392 sq ft store on a 10-year lease.

The new stores are situated on the retail park which forms part of intu Merry Hill, with occupiers including Matalan, Hobbycraft, Currys PC World, DFS, Home Bargains and Pets at Home.

Charlie Greenhalgh, out-of-town retail director at Savills, said: “We are delighted to have secured two national brands for intu Merry Hill, further enhancing the retail park’s already strong line-up.  The steady flow of lettings is testament to the ongoing success of the scheme.”

B&M was represented by Burns Property and Iceland was represented by Mason Owen.
