Office building set for transformation as plans given green light

Work will start in January to convert a large office building into 126 apartments after permitted development rights were obtained by leading developer and investor BPG.

In a joint venture with the Property Alliance Group, BPG will convert the four upper floors of Lyndon Place, which comprises 75,000 sq ft of office space overlooking Sheldon Country Park.

The building is situated on a 2.5 acre site on the arterial Coventry Road, five miles from Birmingham city centre.

BPG director John Southall said: “This development represents a superb opportunity for buy-to-let investors or first time buyers who want to get onto the property ladder.

“Residents will benefit from the proximity to central Birmingham, Solihull, the airport and NEC, and there’s also extensive parking on site. Sheldon itself is up and coming and many of the apartments will enjoy views of the country park, which is why we will be renaming the development Park Place.”
