Shropshire manufacturer taking safety-first approach to growth

Carolyn Lee, Multi-Fan Systems

An ambitious Shropshire manufacturer has plans to increase its £6m turnover by 40% in the next three years after further strengthening its team of specialists.

Multi-Fan Systems creates customised air movement, filtration and extraction systems and has doubled its team to 20 specialists in recent times.

The latest recruit is Carolyn Lee as systems engineer manager, who has joined after eight years with Jaguar Land Rover.

Chris Harper, general manager of Multi-Fan Systems, said: “Our approach is to sell on quality and safety first and this reflects a change in attitude among companies both large and small. They want to know the system they are installing is going to give them a safe and productive working environment and that they more than meet the recommended legislation.

“We are investing so that both Multi-Fan and our customers have access to the skills needed to take on the full quality and health and safety responsibility. It’s a major ‘USP’ for the business.”

Lee has significant experience in managing complex and demanding projects, as well as considerable expertise in health and safety and workplace legislation.

She said: “The business has evolved into a provider of turnkey solutions, which means we will work with the client from the initial design of the system, right through to specifying the technology, installation, commissioning and then, if required, ongoing support.

“Clients now want a specialist to manage the entire process, so they can focus on doing what they do best – their core activity. This approach has seen us quote
for a host of multimillion-pound opportunities in the last month alone.”

Multi-Fan Systems is part of Filtermist International, with both organisations based in Telford.
