Property People: Trio of promotions at LSH; MK2 welcomes new team members; and more

Three senior surveyors are celebrating winning new roles at the start of the new year after being promoted by Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH).

The Birmingham office of LSH has announced that Charlotte Fullard (office agency), Katie Matthews-Male (valuations), and Louise Lokucewicz (property management) have all been promoted to associate directors.

Adam Ramshaw, regional director for Birmingham and the East Midlands, said: “At LSH we’ve demonstrated time and again that we are determined to support talent and to help our team members progress their careers.

MK2 Real Estate, the Birmingham-based niche property consultancy, has made a trio of hires.

The firm has bolstered its building consultancy, property management and lease consultancy teams with the appointment of senior surveyors Harry Gregory, Emma Hinis and Caroline Saxon respectively.

Gregory has joined MK2 from Gleeds, while Hinis joins from Workman and Saxon from Knight Frank.

James Cuthbert has also joined MK2’s investment team having been promoted from graduate to surveyor.

The new appointments follow MK2’s move to a larger office at 172 Edmund Street in Birmingham’s Colmore Business District to accommodate its future expansion plans. The firm is targeting a £4.5m turnover and 30 staff in the next five years. It currently has 15 staff with a £1.5m turnover.

Mark Rooke, director and co-founder of MK2 Real Estate, said: “This is an exciting time for the business. Hot off the back of our office move we have taken on four new staff to provide additional resource for our core services teams and to ensure we continue providing the highest level of service to our clients.

Knight Frank has strengthened its Midlands building consultancy team with the appointment of Helen Cooper as associate and Stephanie Poppitt as graduate surveyor in the Birmingham office.

Cooper joins from Baily Garner in Birmingham where she was a principal surveyor.

She said: “My role in the firm’s building consultancy team will be to provide building surveying services including on dilapidations matters, acquisition surveys, party wall matters and a range of construction project work.”

Drew Watkins, partner in Knight Frank’s building consultancy division in Birmingham, said: “We are delighted to welcome Helen to our team. Her appointment enables us to provide continued personable service to our existing clients and also strengthens our team’s drive to secure new clients.”

Knight Frank’s Building Consultancy division works with developers, investors, landlords, funds and tenants to provide a range of professional building surveying related services associated with the practical aspects of owning, leasing, maintaining, developing and investing in commercial property.

Two well-known commercial and residential property experts have joined new business Bond Wolfe Auctions as consultants.

Jonathan Hackett and Ron Darlington have joined their former Bigwood colleagues at Bond Wolfe Auctions bringing more than 70 years of combined experience.

Bond Wolfe Auctions was launched earlier this month from newly-refurbished offices on Colmore Row in Birmingham, with further offices in West Bromwich and Wolverhampton.

The business was founded by chief executive Gurpreet Bassi and managing director Ian Tudor who, until recently, were the heads of residential and commercial auctions respectively at the Bigwood auctions business.

Bassi said: “Jonathan Hackett has a wealth of knowledge and experience in selling residential property and ground rents throughout the wider Midlands.

“Ron Darlington is one of the best known and longest established names in the Midlands’ auction market. He has an in-depth knowledge of the Black Country, covering residential, commercial and development opportunities, as well as more unusual properties such as nursing homes, former churches, banks and pubs.”
