Indian restaurant group Asha’s reveals Solihull launch date

One of the West Midlands’ most popular Indian restaurants is set to launch at Touchwood shopping centre in Solihull in the spring.

It will be Asha’s second venue in the Midlands along with its popular Birmingham city centre operation.

Other Asha’s venues include Manchester, Dubai, Qatar, Abu Dhabi and Bahrain.

Pawan Kenth, a director of Asha’s, said: “We have been looking for a location in Solihull and South Birmingham for a while.

“Our customers, many of whom have lived in the West Midlands all their lives, have always complained there hasn’t been a high-end Indian restaurant in the south of Birmingham for decades so have been asking us for quite a few years to open up.

“When we were approached by Touchwood to open in the centre, we believed our independent offering would be a great addition to the centre and the wider area.”

Kenth added: “We have been working with the design team in Dubai, who have flown over to work on the project, to ensure we maintain the authentic and independent experience our loyal customers are now accustomed to.”

The new Asha’s will be on the upper terrace next door to Nando’s, and will offer a bespoke bar and dining for approximately 120.

As with the Birmingham restaurant, there will be a private dining area to cater for parties.
