Hourly rail service to start in May

A new hourly rail service will be introduced between Shrewsbury and Birmingham in May.

Trains will stop at Wellington, Telford, Shifnal, Codsall and Wolverhampton.

There will also be a new hourly service on Sundays stopping at all stations.

West Midlands Trains, which took over services previously operated by London Midland in 2017, had pledged to introduce the improvements last December but disruption caused by the launch of the summer timetable in the north of England led to the Rail Delivery Group, which oversees rail services across the UK, delaying the changes until May 2019.
