50 jobs lost as firm enters administration for second time in 18 months

(Creidit: Vision Gelpack)

A Hereford packaging company has gone into administration for the second time in 18 months, with the loss of 50 jobs.

Vision Gelpack has closed after appointing administrators from Duff & Phelps. The company produced thin gauge bags, sacks, tubing and liners for a range of industrial sectors.

Administrators Benjamin Wiles and Geoffrey Bouchier said it was in talks with a third party about acquiring some of the company’s assets.

The company’s failure was despite “substantial investment” being put in since Visionscape Group bought the business from its previous administrators in August 2017.

At that time, 175 people were made redundant from its divisions Gelpack Industrial and Gelpack Excelsior, resulting in a much smaller company.
