Developer acquires site for industrial scheme

Terms have been agreed on the acquisition of a 3.3 acre site which will pave the way for a 70,540 sq ft speculative industrial unit.

Trebor Developments, in conjunction with its strategic partner Hillwood, has bought the site in Telford, located at Hortonwood West.

A planning application will shortly be submitted and work is anticipated to start on site in the second quarter.

The building will be available on a leasehold basis to meet occupier demand. The site is being acquired from Homes and Communities Agency in conjunction with Telford and Wrekin Council.

Bob Tattrie, managing partner for Trebor, said: “We are excited to bring forward another Midlands industrial, speculative, development of this scale in the Telford region, given the lack of quality industrial accommodation to meet occupiers’ needs in this area. As the site is fully serviced and ready to develop, we will be bringing forward delivery on our fast track basis to allow occupation during 2019 and will be offering competitive leasehold terms to occupiers.”

Trebor/Hillwood are represented by Bulleys, Telford and Wolverhampton offices, and Lambert Smith Hampton, Birmingham office.
