Photo reveals devastation caused by blaze at furniture warehouse

The devastation caused by a huge fire at a furniture warehouse in Birmingham has been revealed in a photo released by the fire service.

The blaze, near to Tyseley Railway Station, broke out on Monday morning, causing cancellations and delays to train services.

Around 100 firefighters tackled the fire at Dreams Living in Hay Hall Road.

West Midlands Fire Service said it was caused accidentally and that crews were still on site damping down.

On twitter, the fire service said: “The extent of the damage to the furniture warehouse we attended yesterday in Tyseley can be seen clearly.

“Crews have been there overnight and are still in attendance. The cause was confirmed as accidental.”
