M5 HQ office building sold to national charity

An 11,000 sq ft headquarters office building close to Junction 3 of the M5 has been sold to Mencap.

Acting on behalf of private investors, Malcolm Jones, head of office agency at KWB, sold Unit E Pinewood on Woodgate Valley Business Park in Birmingham, a 10,952 sq ft, semi-detached, modern headquarters office building to the UK charity for people with a learning disability, for an undisclosed sum.

KWB Workplace, KWB’s integrated office move management, design and fit-out consultancy, has been retained to manage the fit-out, refurbishment and move into the unit.

Woodgate Valley Business Park is home to a range of occupiers including Lander Automotive, Ishida Europe, TNA Europe Packaging and Heads and All Threads Fasteners.

Jones said: “Pinewood Court is an outstanding headquarters building with a generous car parking allocation and excellent links to the M5, M6 and M42, allowing easy travel across the Midlands region.  The office building provides predominantly open plan ground and first floor office accommodation, which was purpose built in the 1990’s and has had only one occupier since its original construction.”

GJS Dillon acted as joint agent with KWB.
