Plans lodged for new business park
A planning application has been submitted for a new business park in Dudley.
Hinton Perry & Davenhill, owners of clay roof tile manufacturing company Dreadnought Tiles, has teamed up with Antringham Developments to bring forward the development of a 2.4 acre site on Dreadnought Road in Pensnett.
Dreadnought Business Park would comprise either three units of between 11,000 sq ft – 16,725 sq ft or one unit of 40,000 sq ft.
The units will be offered on a ‘build to suit’ basis and will be suitable for a range of commercial uses, including industrial, storage and distribution.
Located within Dudley’s Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone, occupiers will benefit from a number of incentives, including a business rate discount of up to £55,000 per year over a five-year period.
The proposed development is also within close proximity of Pensnett Trading Estate, one of the largest secure industrial estates in Europe and home to around 200 companies.
Alex Patrick-Smith, managing director of Hinton Perry & Davenhill, said: “Dreadnought Tiles has been manufacturing roof tiles and bricks at our Pensnett factory for more than 210 years. We have been considering the potential redevelopment of the surplus land adjacent to the factory for a number of years but now seemed like the right time to bring it forward.

Property consultants CBRE have been instructed to market the development.
