Traffic alert: Commuters face 90-minute delays after crash closes M5

The M5 motorway is closed as emergency services respond to “a serious two-car collision”.

Police, fire and rescue, and ambulance services are all on scene dealing with the incident.

It is causing major delays, estimated at 90 minutes, for drivers travelling northbound on the motorway. The M5 is closed between junction 5 at Droitwich and J4A, where it meets the M42.

Traffic is being diverted and should follow the solid diamond symbol. Exit at J5 and take the 3rd exit onto the A38 northbound continuing across the M42 to re-join the M5 at J4.
