Pipe manufacturer confident with profits ahead

A firm which specialises in manufacturing tubes is expecting to report a rise in both revenue and profit after another strong year.

Malvern-based Tricorn said it expects revenue for the year to the end of March to be around 2.5% ahead of 2018 and profit before tax 30% up.

It said new business growth in the transportation division “more than offset” the reduction in revenue in the energy operation which, as it anticipated, saw significantly lower demand from the power generation rental sector.

The company’s joint venture in China continues to perform well, Tricorn said.

Tricorn expects to release its results on June 3.
