Acquisitive auto service chain drives growth with new site

Auto service business Mr Tyre has acquired an autocentre in Warwick to add to its growing portfolio of sites.

Mr Tyre already has 35 sites across central England, and it was commercial property agents Harris Lamb that enabled them to grow even further with the acquisition of the site on Emscote Road.

Neil Harris, director at Harris Lamb, said: “We have been working with the chain to identify a suitable location in the Warwick and Stratford area for some time, so when this opportunity came to the market, we acted very quickly on to secure it.

“The 6,000 sq ft site was already used for the tyre fitting and auto servicing, meaning that minimal fit-out is required, and having negotiated a ten-year lease on behalf of Mr Tyre, the business is now in occupation of the premises.

“Mr Tyre is a real Midlands success story, starting out as a single garage in Sutton Coldfield in 1971. Over the past few decades, it has developed to become a respected independent chain with 35 depots reaching as far north as Farnworth and to Worcester in the south, and we’re delighted to have helped it acquire its 36th branch,” he added.
