Insolvency specialist launches recruitment drive for new Coventry base

Partner at Begbies Traynor, Brett Barton

Insolvency and business recovery specialist Begbies Traynor has launched a recruitment drive to build a team of advisers in Coventry at its new offices in The Quadrant.

Partner at Begbies Traynor, Brett Barton, who joined the firm a year ago, spent the previous 15 years providing business recovery advice to businesses across Coventry and Warwickshire, focusing on the advanced manufacturing, transport and haulage sectors.

He said the company will use the new office to build further relationships with local businesses and advisers.

Barton and the team recently advised Coventry-based Capitol Tiles, rescuing the business from administration with two deals that saved 84 jobs.

Barton said: “Coventry and Warwickshire is home to a thriving business and professional services community, and is therefore a key focus for our expansion strategy.

“We know that many companies are finding it difficult amid so much uncertainty, particularly in the manufacturing sector, which is such an important part of this area’s economy. That’s why it is important for businesses to have access to good quality business recovery advice.

“We firmly believe there is always an opportunity to revitalise an ailing business with the right guidance at the right time. Indeed for many firms, early intervention to help restructure operations can often prevent the need for a formal insolvency process.”
