Construction firm wins £4.45m warehouse contract

Warwick-based MCS Group has won a £4.45m contract for a speculative development in Wiltshire.

The Midlands company was awarded the contract by joint venture partners Trebor Developments and Hillwood.

The 78,750 sq ft unit at Trinity Park, Hillmead, Swindon, is due to be completed by MCS by the end of 2019. It is the second development for Trebor that MCS has been associated with, having already won a contract to develop a Rotherham warehouse in April.

MCS Group operations director Steve Cruchley said: “It’s great to be working alongside Trebor Developments and Hillwood on this impressive development.

“Trinity Park is a speculative development of a new production or distribution space, which would be suitable as a headquarters facility. We’ve started on site now and we expect to reach practical completion towards the end of the year.”

Bob Tattrie, managing director of Trebor Developments, said: “We are delighted to have appointed MCS Group and started on site. This is the second contract we have awarded MCS this month, with both projects completing in early December.“

MCS Group, based in Claverdon, Warwickshire, specialises in warehouse and distribution units at sites across the UK. It has built and refurbished more than 300 car dealerships including Audi, BMW, McLaren and Jaguar Land Rover since its inception in 2003.
