Major European order for smart home tech company

LightwaveRF, the Birmingham-based provider of smart home solutions, has secured an order from its new European distributor Tech Data.

The company had previously confirmed its partnership agreement with Tech Data, one of the world’s largest technology product distributors, in its recent interim results statement.

The first order from Tech Data, worth  EUR 568,000, which is being delivered this quarter, is to supply retailers in Germany and the Netherlands with Lightwave’s new European Smart range of hubs, dimmers and sockets.

CEO Jason Elliott said: “We continue to work closely with all our distributors but it is incredibly encouraging to see one of our newer partnerships, which is directed to developing our European markets, making such strong early progress with this sizeable first order.”
