Retail units acquired by private investor

Two retail units in Nuneaton have been snapped up by a private investor for more than £400,000.

The deal, completed through commercial property specialists Holt Commercial, has seen 21A and 22 Market Place in the town centre bought for £424,000.

The properties – which offer 3,540 sq ft of space overall – are let to Thomas Cook and City Phones at a combined annual rent of £44,000 exclusive.

Jonathan Moore, of Holt Commercial, said: “We are very pleased to get this deal done.

“We were approached by a private investor in the local area who wanted to add to his portfolio of properties.

“Although the retail market – especially on the High Street – is still facing uncertainty because of the many pressures it is under, there are still deals to be done.

“This shows that, at the right price, in the right location and with the right tenants in place, retail is still an attractive investment.”
