Car makers facing ‘multiple seismic challenges’ as production plummets
The UK car industry has said a no-deal Brexit is “not an option” as it warned the sector is facing "multiple seismic challenges simultaneously".
The plea for a no-deal Brexit to be avoided comes as British car production fell for the 12th month in a row in May, as output dropped 15.5%, according to figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).
