Traffic Alert: HGV fire on M6 southbound causing eight-mile tailback

The fire of a HGV on the M6 Southbound J3A Nuneaton this afternoon is causing approximately eight miles of queuing traffic and delays of at least two hours.

Lane closures will remain on all day as the fire caused significant damage to the road surface and will require resurfacing overnight.

Highways England said the fire has been extinguished and clean-up work is underway
