Staff shocked as creative agency suddenly goes into administration

Superdream, a creative agency in Bromsgrove employing 23 staff has gone into administration as of 5 July.

Staff turned up for work on at their offices in The Courtyard, Buntsford Drive on Friday and were asked to remove their belongings and leave the building.

Then, in a letter posted to the staff’s home addresses and received on Saturday on un-headed paper, they were told: “Your contract of employment has ended as of 5 July … payment arrears and holiday will be paid by Industrial Service.”

Launched in 2012, Superdream has offices in Bromsgrove and Brisbane, and its managing director and owner, Jason Manning has not yet spoken to the staff directly about the company’s closure.

A member of staff who wanted to remain anonymous said: “It was a shock as we had recently won new contracts and it felt like we were busy.

“There had been no warning that this was going to happen and no one representing the company has been on hand to talk to us.

“Someone operating on behalf of the administrators said it could be mid-August before we get monies owed, so there’ll be no pay at the end of July.”

In recent months the company has taken on one new apprentice and three senior members of staff.

A process of liquidation of Superdream’s assets will be begin on 17 July.
