Construction and property advisor announces new managing partner

Construction, property and management consultancy Rider Levett Bucknall UK (RLB UK) has appointed Jo Reynolds as managing partner of its Birmingham office.

Reynolds was recruited to RLB’s Birmingham office 25 years ago as a graduate quantity surveyor from Birmingham University, where she qualified as a chartered surveyor.

She has held a number of senior management positions across RLB’s UK network including setting up the firm’s Welwyn Garden City office and leading the National Programme Management team. This latest move to head up the Birmingham office, follows her role as national head of key accounts.

Her appointment comes on the back of the recent recruitment of senior professional, Andrew Stamps, RLB’s new national head of infrastructure, also based in Birmingham.

It shows an investment and commitment to the central England office, as part of the spine of RLB’s 10 offices across the UK, with London’s head office, Birmingham at the centre, and Manchester in the North of England.

RLB in Birmingham equates to 10% of RLB UK’s business with a target to double current turnover by 2030. It offers a full remit of RLB services including Quantity Surveying and Cost Management, Project Management, Programme Management, Building Surveying, Health & Safety and specialist consultancy across all sectors of the built environment, working with clients including Tesco, Coventry City Council and University of Wolverhampton.

Reynolds said: “It’s great to be back in Birmingham to grow and support the business. RLB has its roots here in the Midlands with a heritage of over 70 years of providing construction, property and management consultancy across all sectors of the construction industry. Our mission of “creating a better tomorrow” hasn’t changed. We pride ourselves on continuing to bring innovative solutions and best practice to our clients with the best talent in the industry. It’s exciting times for RLB and exciting times for the Birmingham office.”

Dean Sheehy, RLB UK board director, added: “At RLB it is all about the people, their expertise and experience, and passion and understanding of our industry. Jo is a great example of someone who combines all of this and someone whose talent has been nurtured and acknowledged accordingly. It is a new dawn for RLB Birmingham with Jo at the helm.”
