Revenues up as law firm hands out all-staff bonus of £1,500

Law firm Mills & Reeve has rewarded all of its staff with a £1,500 bonus after it increased revenues to £110.9m.

The 4.3% increase has been achieved in a year when the firm has sought to set the platform for the next few years.

It completed a multimillion-pound refurbishment of its Colmore Row office in February as part of a significant investment in its second largest office in the UK.

The firm also unveiled a new brand identity which aimed to highlight collaboration, an inclusive culture and cross-sector expertise.

They were some of the qualities that saw Steve Allen, who heads the firm’s Birmingham office, named professional services leader of the year at TheBusinessDesk.com’s first Midlands Leadership Awards last November.

Mills & Reeve also continued its 16-year streak of appearing in The Sunday Times’ Best 100 Companies to Work For list.

Claire Clarke, Mills & Reeve managing partner, said: “It’s been another great year for Mills & Reeve and we are delighted that the hard work of everyone who works at the firm has been formally recognised through a number of major award wins and accolades.

“It’s also pleasing that growth has been achieved at the same time we have invested in a number of high-profile lateral hires in key areas of the business and the implementation of major infrastructure projects, including a new project management system and website.”
