Libertine Burger lined up for Rugby

Libertine Burger has signed up to its second unit to be located in the Swan Centre at Rugby.

Having become a favourite among Warwickshire burger lovers with its original Leamington Spa location, Libertine becomes the latest brand to commit to the Chapel Street dining quarter within the Swan Centre.

Charles Harris, founder of Libertine Burger, said: “After the success of our Leamington Spa restaurant, which opened a year ago, Rugby was the next obvious step. We can’t wait to bring our particular brand of burgers, shakes and beers to the people of Rugby, in what is starting to look like a very exciting development for the town.”

The joint letting agents on the project are Hartnell Taylor Cook, Harris Lamb and Space.

James Woodard, director of retail agency at HTC, said: “The arrival of Libertine is exciting for both the scheme and the town, as this sort of modern operator will galvanise the existing mix of pubs and restaurants.

“Indeed, at The Swan Centre we are starting to create a new casual restaurant hub for the town, with discussions progressing with operators from other complementary food sectors attracted to the town’s strong demographics and the gap in the market for quality independent operations.”

Libertine will join names including The Entertainer toy shop, Anytime Fitness and Costa at the Swan Centre, which sits between Rugby Central shopping centre and Asda, which provides parking for the development.

Woodard added: “The challenge of these projects is to try and bring in the best of the independent operators from the area, and with Libertine we have got off to the perfect start.”
