Plans for a new self-contained business park in Pensnett, Dudley, have been given the go ahead by the local council.

Dreadnought Business Park, which is being developed jointly by Hinton Perry & Davenhill and Antringham Developments, will comprise up to 40,000 sq ft of industrial, warehousing and distribution space.

The 2.4 acre site on Dreadnought Road is next to the Dreadnought Tiles clay roof tile manufacturing plant.

Alex Patrick-Smith, managing director of Hinton Perry & Davenhill, said: “We’re extremely pleased to have secured planning permission for the business park. The redevelopment of the surplus land adjacent to the Dreadnought Tiles factory will deliver much needed new industrial space in the Black Country and create new employment opportunities for the area.”

Dreadnought Business Park is located close to Pensnett Trading Estate, one of the largest secure industrial estates in Europe and home to around 200 companies. The site is also within Dudley’s DY5 Business and Innovation Enterprise Zone.

Property consultants CBRE have been instructed to market the development.

Melissa Wase-Rogers, director in CBRE’s Birmingham industrial team, said: “Dreadnought Business Park will provide ‘built to suit’ units from 11,000 sq ft to 40,000 sq ft on a self-
contained site.”
