Shropshire supermarket scheme takes next step

PLANS for a new Sainsbury's supermarket in a north Shropshire market town have taken a step forward after the developers received backing from county planners.
Edinburgh-based development and investment group Terrace Hill reports today that it has received a minded to grant recommendation for the 30,000 sq ft store in Whitchurch.
It said the application was unanimously supported at a Shropshire Council planning meeting and would now be referred to the Department of Communities and Local Government.
