WALSALL town centre had a major boost this week after it received a £6.5m investment to continue the development of its canal area.

The Homes and Communities Agency has decided to give ‘kickstart’ funding for the second phase of the Waterfront South development, which follows a previous grant of £8.7m.

The decision means the developers, Jessup Build Develop, will start work later this year on the £18m second phase, which will deliver 164 homes by March 2012. The first phase for 158 homes......for the full story register now for free or login below...
