ROLLS-Royce Motor Cars has reported record sales on the back of increased demand from Germany and Russia.

The luxury car maker - part of the BMW group - reported a 31% rise in sales during 2011 to 3,538 cars.

Rolls-Royce's £165,000 Ghost model - targeted at successful young entrepreneurs and executives rather than its traditional market of older captains of industry - has been the main driving force behind the company's sales growth.
