Administrators continue to seek buyers for shopfitting group

ADMINISTRATORS are continuing to seek buyers for key parts of a Worcestershire shopfitting group.

David Dunckley and David Bennett, partners at Grant Thornton in Birmingham, are trying to save as much of Belbroughton-based Estrella Group as possible.

The duo have been able to sell as a going concern Bromsgrove-based subsidiary CDM Displays Ltd, preserving nine jobs. However, CDM Shopfitting Ltd, also based in Bromsgrove, has closed with the loss of 12 jobs. Its assets have been sold separately.

ERI Ltd, based in Oldbury and Cambridgeshire-based Anglo ERI Ltd remain in administration and both are continuing to trade under the control of administrators.

The shopfitting operation is completed by Radius Interiors Ltd, based in Nottinghamshire.

All of these companies are involved in various aspects of retail shop fitting providing services to high street retailers such as Marks & Spencers, Next and Arcadia.

The group precision engineering subsidiary, TJW Precision Engineering Ltd, based at Cam in Gloucestershire, a tier one supplier to the aerospace sector, is not in administration and continues to operate under the control of its Directors.

The Estrella Group had combined revenues of c £34m and employed c 300 staff at six locations across the UK.
