FUNDING to enable new broadband infrastructure to be introduced in parts of Worcestershire has been welcomed by the county’s local enterprise partnership.Worcestershire LEP chairman Peter Pawsey said the extra £3.35m was a significant step forward in improving communications links in the county.The funding allocation is from Broadband Delivery UK, part of the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, and follows the successful submission of Worcestershire’s Local Broadband Plan, Connecting Worcestershire.
