National Express invests £1.3m in bus improvements

BIRMINGHAM-based National Express is carrying out a £1.3m overhaul of its West Midlands bus fleet, the largest public transport refurbishment project ever undertaken in the UK. The overhaul is already under way and when complete, passengers will be able to use vehicles with new modern interiors and cleaner engines which are 20% more efficient.The work is expected to extend the life of the buses by at least 10 years.
