THE former chief executive of regional development agency Advantage West Midlands, Mick Laverty, has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Liverpool John Moores University in recognition of his outstanding contribution to UK regeneration.   The citation was presented by Professor Michael Parkinson, Director of the European Institute for Urban Affairs at LJMU at a ceremony in Liverpool.  Mr Laverty, whose role at AWM ended with the dismantling of the RDAs by the coalition government, is a former alumnus of Liverpoo......for the full story register now for free or login below...
