Centro slams London Midland for ticket office closures

TRANSPORT chiefs have reacted angrily to a reduction in staffing levels and ticket office opening hours at West Midlands railway stations.
Centro, the region’s transport authority, said it was extremely disappointed at a Government decision to allow local train operator London Midland to make the changes.
Ministers have announced they are allowing the firm to close ticket offices as well at Witton in Birmingham, Wythall and Lye.

Perhaps, Centro would prefer that London Midland increase its ticket prices driving passengers off trains, as National Express has done with buses?
