A STAFFORDSHIRE brewer has called on MPs to back the brewing industry during a Parliamentary debate on beer prices.Keith Bott, managing director of Titanic Brewery, has written to five MPs in North and Mid Staffordshire urging them to vote in the Beer Tax Escalator debate, which takes place on Thursday.Mr Bott said the escalator had proved bad for business since its introduction four years ago and was responsible for many of the problems currently faced by the brewing industry.The escalator means beer prices increase by 2% above th......for the full story register now for free or login below...
