It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas for Bullring

BIRMINGHAM’S Bullring Shopping Centre has seen a strong start to its vital Christmas trading period with more than one million people visiting the mall during the first week of December.

The centre’s management said shoppers had flocked in their thousands to the centre, many taking advantage of early discounting and offers from retailers such as Reiss, French Connection and Debenhams.

Tim Walley, General Manager at Bullring, said: “Birmingham is a magnet for Christmas shoppers, and with extended trading hours until 10pm weekdays, Bullring has welcomed over one million visitors during the first week of December. This weekend alone we welcomed over 340,000 customers to the centre and we look forward to welcoming many more in the lead-up to Christmas.”

The centre is hoping that shoppers will be attracted to some of the mall’s new outlets including the region’s only UGG Australia, Pretty Green and Dr Marten. Another draw to the centre is the iconic Bullring Bull statue at the entrance to the shops, which has been given a Christmas make-over for the festive period complete with glittery reindeer antlers and a red nose.
