Party time as Ricoh’s festive bookings soar

COVENTRY’S Ricoh Arena has reported a marked increase in Christmas party bookings.

In 2011, there were 2,481 bookings over four nights for partygoers to enjoy a mix of a three-course meal, entertainment, disco, fun fair and fairground rides in the Jaguar Exhibition Hall.

Over the same number of nights this year, a total of 3,800 party bookings have been taken – an increase of 1,319.

Liz Cooper, marketing director at the Ricoh Arena, said: “Our Bringing Christmas Alive party nights are gaining in popularity year on year which is tremendous news.

“We have been hosting Christmas party nights at the Ricoh for the last five years and the numbers have been steadily rising but to have increased bookings by over a third this year is testament to the careful planning which goes into all the organising as well as listening to feedback from our customers.

“We wanted to stage a night to remember which is more important than ever in these tough economic times.

“As well as having repeat bookings, we had many people come along for the first time which is encouraging and planning will start in January for Bringing Christmas Alive 2013.”
