Amrit returns to her alma mater

A FORMER trainee at Lodders Solicitors in Stratford-upon-Avon has returned to the firm.

Amrit Rama has taken up a position in the dispute resolution department and will also be assisting with Lodders new Empline service.

Ms Rama qualified as a solicitor with Lodders after a two year training programme.

Now she is back with the firm after a spell in insurance fraud with Keoghs Solicitors.

Alsters Kelley appoints new marketing executive

WARWICKSHIRE law firm Alsters Kelley has expanded its team with the appointment of Julie Richardson as PR & marketing executive.

She has more than 20 years marketing experience, most of which was gained whilst working for a large corporate within the financial services sector, where she was head of their regional group communications in the East Midlands for more than five  years.

Since then she has worked for a number of smaller companies across a wide variety of sectors, including an independent school, a steel trading company and the Coventry & Warwickshire Chamber of Commerce.

Commenting on her appointment Ms Richardson said: “These are exciting times in the legal sector and I am looking forward to planning and implementing the marketing and PR strategies to support Alsters Kelley’s on-going business development.”

Neil Raiseborough, head of marketing, said: “Julie’s experience and local knowledge will be a real asset to the firm.”

Higgs strengthens corporate team

BLACK Country law  firm Higgs & Sons is strengthening its corporate team with the appointment of a new solicitor to meet the demand of an increased workload from both new and existing clients.

Jamie Partington joins from Birmingham firm Challinors, where he advised on all aspects of corporate law, including mergers and acquisitions, investment arrangements, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and corporate governance.

Nick Taylor, who leads Higgs’ corporate team, said: “Jamie is well recognised across the Midlands for acting for high-tech high-growth businesses in the technology and media sectors, and we’re delighted to be able to offer this experience to our clients.”

Partington is also an active member of Birmingham Future, sitting on the organisation’s development committee.
