Fraikin turns up the heat with Flogas contract

COVENTRY-based commercial vehicle fleet supplier Fraikin has won a renewal of its three year contract with Flogas, one of the leading suppliers of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in the UK.

The contract covers the management, maintenance provision and fleet administration of most of the fleet deployed by Flogas, which varies seasonally between 250 and 400 vehicles, except for the larger bulk trailers and the gas tanks themselves.

Twenty-four hour breakdown cover across the UK will also be provided by Fraikin, coordinated from its dedicated call centre in Oldbury.

Jason Lynch, Purchasing Manager, Flogas, said: “Our primary objective is to deliver gas safely and Fraikin allow us to do that with the minimum of effort. They keep us compliant with all of the standards we need to achieve and make sure nothing affects our operator’s licence.

“We can concentrate on the process of delivering. They provide a level of service in excess of what we could do ourselves. They are specialists in fleet maintenance, and we are specialists in gas.

“They have given us helpful, useful advice with regards to how we handle our vehicles – indeed we are reviewing certain elements of the fleet following suggestions made by Fraikin.”

Peter Backhouse, CEO of Fraikin, said: “We are delighted to have won this three year extension of our contract with Flogas and look forward to maintaining what has already proven to be a long and fruitful relationship with the company.”
