Series of promotions for Anthony Collins

ANTHONY Collins Solicitors has announced a series of promotions across the firm including the appointment of Matthew Wort as partner.

Wort was invited to become partner following a successful seven years with the firm where he works with clients in the Housing and Health & Social Care sectors.

The firm has also promoted 11 other members of the legal team, with Emma Duke, Anna Dabek, Maria Ramon, Emma Young, Teresa Panther and Monica Macheng moving into senior associate positions. Gemma Bell, Simon Lee, Kate Jackson, Faye Biddle, Gayle Monk and Emma Riley have all accepted the role of associate in their individual teams.

New addition to family team at Sydney Mitchell

Ms Holland, who joins from HCB French & Co, is a well-known family lawyer with specialist knowledge of divorce, pre-nuptial agreements, children disputes, financial settlements, separation agreements, co-habitation disputes, co-habitation agreements, the division/protection of business assets, pensions and property arising out of the breakdown of relationships.  

She is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in family law, has over 15 years experience and has worked for a number of leading Legal 500 firms.

The family is led by partners, Karen Moores and Mauro Vinti.

Ms Moores said: “We have seen an increase in complex financial divorce cases, and Amanda’s skills in dealing with such matters will be in great demand.  We pride ourselves on helping our clients through the trauma that a separation or divorce brings.”

Sydney Mitchell has offices in Birmingham city centre, Sheldon and Shirley.

New partner for Mills & Reeve

John Grundy, partner, private tax team, Mills & Reeve in BirminghamMILLS & Reeve has announced a new internal partner appointment in Birmingham, along with five from its other offices.

John Grundy, pictured, has become a partner in the Birmingham private tax team.

Grundy advises individuals and families on all aspects of tax and estate planning, and legal directory Chambers UK identified him as the “Star Associate” in the Birmingham region and he is regarded as “a rising star in the private client space”.

He is also chairman of the Birmingham branch of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Five other associates were promoted to partner from the Cambridge, Manchester and Norwich offices.
