Property firm Fisher German gains southern exposure after merger

MIDLANDS chartered surveying firm Fisher German has joined forces with a southern rival.

The deal with Kent-based Lister InfraServ will leave Fisher German with a 15 office network throughout England.

The merger brings Lister InfraServ’s principle director Giles Lister into the Fisher German Partnership and he will continue to run a new post-merger office in Kent.

Lister InfraServ specialises in delivering land agency services to the utilities and infrastructure sector. The firm already has a number of direct relationships with utility clients and supplies sub-contracted services to the industry through main contractors.

Fisher German – which has offices in Bromsgrove, Stafford and Worcester as well as in the East Midlands and North West – was introduced to the Kent firm in 2008, following a successful award of a framework contract from National Grid. Lister InfraServ had already been providing services to National Grid. A sub-contractor arrangement was agreed the following year and the relationship between the two businesses has developed since then.

Andrew Jackson, managing partner at Fisher German, said: “The merger was a natural progression of existing working relationships.

“Our ambition for Fisher German is to double in growth by 2020, this is one step forward to taking us there.”

“We already have a fantastic working relationship with the team at Lister InfraServ and we are looking forward to building on those relationships as we work towards a bright future for Fisher German.

“We have every expectation that we will see an increased work flow as a result of the merger, particularly in the south east of England.

“An office in Kent opens up the potential for further work in the utilities and infrastructure sector and gives us a foothold in the Home Counties that feeds the London conurbation. It also enables us to better service firms currently some distance from our existing base.”
