Mucklow scheme fully let as testing firm moves in

A DUDLEY industrial park is now fully let following a letting to testing firm Exova (UK).

Exova has signed a ten-year lease on a unit at A&J Mucklow Group’s Yorks Park at a headline rent of £5.10 per sq ft.

The unit is likely to extend up to 23,000 sq ft.

Yorks Park, constructed in two phases, occupies a site of approximately 12 acres on Blowers Green Road in the town. The park provides 157,656 sq ft of industrial and warehouse accommodation within five buildings.

Stuart Haydon, portfolio manager at Mucklow, said: “We are delighted to welcome Exova as tenants to Yorks Park as it sees the development fully let and completes a great line up of tenants.

“We are sure that Exova will continue to be as pleased as we are that they have chosen Yorks Park as the location for their business expansion.”

Alex Carr, director and head of property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton’s industrial and logistics team in Birmingham, acted on behalf of Exova.

He said: “Unit 1 at Yorks Park was the ideal choice for Exova following a comprehensive trawl of the market.

“Not only is the building in very close proximity to their existing facility in Netherton, but it also provides the specification and image required for the business going forward.”

LSH building consultancy director Darron Owen is project managing a £3m fit out project at the premises, which includes the construction of new offices, laboratories, a warehouse crane and external compounds.
