New appointment at market research consultancy Research by Design

BIRMINGHAM-based market research consultancy, Research by Design, has appointed Lindsey Nadin as Research Manager.

Ms Nadin has a wealth of experience in the market research sector, having delivered campaigns for high profile clients across the UK and globally including LEGO, Ikea and Expedia.

Founded in 1994, Research by Design is an independent full service market research consultancy working across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. Clients include the NEC, Touchwood Shopping Centre, British Chambers of Commerce, Marston’s and Acorns Children’s Hospice.

Ms Nadin is the third new recruit for Research by Design over the last 12 months; another two appointments are set for the autumn.

Heather Forrester, managing director at Research by Design, said: “The breadth of experience across our team is paramount to ensuring that we have a thorough understanding of our clients’ needs and the context in which they operate.

“Lindsey’s experience will further strengthen the insight we offer our clients in the retail, destination and professional services sectors and we’re looking forward to her helping us deliver continued success across the company.”

CIPR shortlisting for Gough Bailey Wright

BROMSGROVE-based marketing communications agency, Gough Bailey Wright, has been shortlisted in five categories in the PR industry’s leading awards programme.

The CIPR (Chartered Institute of Public Relations) PRide Awards recognise outstanding public relations in the UK regions.

GBW has been recognised for its community relations work for Sainsbury’s, public relations campaign for healthcare supplement Ateronon, event planning for Drayton Manor Theme Park, external publication production for bdht (Bromsgrove District Housing Trust) and as one of six outstanding public relations consultancies in the Midlands.

Sue Bailey, managing director at GBW, said: “We’re absolutely delighted that the high standard of work that our agency produces has been acknowledged by the CIPR in this way, and across so many of our disciplines.

“It’s interesting to see that only two of the six agencies that have been nominated in the outstanding PR consultancy category are city based, which goes to show that there is an extremely high calibre of PR and communications professionals working outside of the cities, offering the same levels of service and expertise.”

This year’s ceremony takes place in November, when the agency is hoping to surpass last year’s gong count, as well as securing the main accolade of the night, the title of Midlands’ outstanding public relations consultancy.

Because they are so rigorous and competitive, they represent a genuine chance to benchmark the excellence of our work.”
