Family Law promotion at Alsters Kelley

ALSTERS Kelley has strengthened its Family Law team with the promotion of Julie Stanley to Associate.

Erica Kemp, Head of Family Law said, “Julie has made a substantial contribution to the Family department and the wider firm since joining us three years ago. She has built an excellent reputation specialising in dealing with both financial and children issues arising from family breakdown.

“She has also played a major part in promoting Alsters Kelley externally through developing and building strong relationships across the local community and this promotion is in recognition of all her efforts and achievements to date. We are sure she will continue to make a significant contribution to the future success and development of the practice.”

Ms Stanley, who qualified in 2006 and joined the Family department at Alsters Kelley in October 2010, will continue to be based at the firm’s Leamington Spa office. Alsters Kelley also has offices in Coventry and Nuneaton.

Freeth Cartwright enhances local government offering

FREETH Cartwright has developed its national local government presence with the appointment of leading practitioner, Dr. Nicholas Dobson.

Dobson led Pinsent Masons’ local government practice for many years and had previously occupied senior positions in local government. The firm said his appointment would enhance its service to the local government sector.

Colin Flanagan, chairman, Freeth Cartwright, said: “We are delighted to have on board someone like Nicholas with the experience and reputation to help extend our broad national local government portfolio and deepen our service offering to existing valued local government clients.”

Dobson is also Communications Officer for Lawyers in Local Government.

Property team enhanced at Bowcock & Pursaill

Jim Hickey, property team, Bowcock & PursaillSTAFFORDSHIRE law firm Bowcock & Pursaill has appointed Jim Hickey to support its property team.

A former partner at Hacking Ashton, Hickey, left, brings more than 30 years of experience to Bowcock & Pursaill and will be based at the firm’s Leek office to provide maternity cover for partner Emma Amat.

His appointment signals a return to Bowcock & Pursaill after an absence of more than 16 years.

He said: “I will be covering Emma’s maternity leave from September working in residential and commercial property, and I hope to grow and develop the work in that area.”
