Howdens Joinery moves to Stoke’s City Park

ONE of the UK’s leading suppliers of kitchens and joinery products has taken space at Langtree’s City Park Trading Estate in Stoke-on-Trent.

Howdens Joinery, which supplies kitchen units and products to builders, has taken a 16,357 sq ft industrial unit, the largest at the site, on a 15-year lease. The letting takes the estate to 85% occupancy.

The company has taken the unit as a new depot to complement its existing base in Cobridge, to the north side of the city.

Mark Churchill, head of property at Howdens, said: “We had been looking for the right premises in this part of Stoke and this new depot will enable us to grow our business in Stoke by serving existing clients and welcoming new customers.”

Kathryn Smart, property manager at Langtree, said: “Langtree is pleased to welcome such a leading company in the kitchen industry to City Park. It is clear Howdens Joinery is going from strength to strength and we hope their new space at the park will help them continue with its success.”

City Park Trading Estate provides more than  90,000 sq ft of industrial and trade space units ranging in size from 1,300 to 16,350 sq ft.

Montagu Evans advised Howdens Joinery.
