Learning disability firm Voyage Care snaps up rival

LICHFIELD-based Voyage Care, which provides support for people with learning disabilities, has accelerated its strategic growth plans with the acquisition of Warwickshire-based specialist care provider Ingleby Care.

No monetary value has been put on the deal.

Offering a mixture of residential, supported living and domiciliary services, Nuneaton-based Ingleby Care provides support to adults with learning disabilities and additional complex needs, as well as home-based care for over 65s.

The acquisition was funded using existing cash resources.

Voyage Care’s chief executive Kevin Roberts said: “Following the acquisition of ILG earlier this year and Solor Care in 2012, we have continued to target businesses which share our values and quality standards.

“Ingleby Care is an excellent match for us and I am pleased to welcome them into the Voyage family.

“The acquisition represents another important milestone in our growth strategy and it enables us to offer even more people access to high quality, professional care.”

Voyage Care relocated its head office to the Lichfield South in October.

The company, which employs more than 7,000 people across the UK, leased a 15,410 sq ft building on the campus-style business park.
