Chop and Wok embraces new technology to boost business

A BIRMINGHAM-based food company is embracing new technology in its quest to grow its business.

Chop and Wok is a new-age, pan Asian food concept selling noodles, soups, curries, sushi, salads, wraps. It has six stores consisting of two in Birmingham city centre, Shirley, Quinton and Sutton Coldfield. It has launched a new sixth store in London, which is now its flagship store.

To correspond with the London opening it has launched its own iPhone app. The new is designed to make ordering easier and improve the service to customers.

Director Aman Bhandal said the decision to launch the app also followed an increase in online orders being placed with the business. It is hoping the app will boost orders still further, possibly by around 5%.

Once the free App is downloaded, customers are greeted with a map marked with all Chop and Wok sites in the UK which allows them to either, search for a store by name or, select the nearest store or simply select one of the store markers.

Once a store has been selected, an overview of its contact details, delivery times and collection times are shown. After selecting a store, customers are taken to the menu options where they can begin ordering using the technology.

Future plans include improving the app by introducing gaming and other types of functionality into the system.

Bhandal said: “The new Chop and Wok iPhone app is simple and easy to use, and in an increasingly fast paced and cutting edge world, it is just what we and our customers need.”
