Relaunch of Birmingham flights proves a big success for Air India

THE reintroduction of direct passenger flights between Birmingham and India has proved a success for the sub-continent’s flag carrying airline.

Air India has seen more than 50,000 passengers use its new service from Birmingham Airport since its instruction last August.

To celebrate its success in the first six months, leaders of the local Sikh community have presented Birmingham Airport with a commemorative plaque to thank the team for launching the flights last year and reconnecting Birmingham with Delh...
