Traffic company signals move back to Burntwood

A FIRM that provides highway traffic controls and signals works is going back to Burntwood to expand its business after seven  years in Cannock.

Roadtech Cutting Services will almost double its capacity when it moves to a 8,619 sq ft unit at Zone 3, Burntwood Business Park, which is owned and managed by West Midlands-based property company London & Cambridge Properties.

It has signed a ten-year lease for unit 17.

Director Nick Tully said sustained growth over the past few years meant it had outgrown its existing premises in Hawks Green, Cannock, where it had also had to rent an alternative yard to house its vehicles.

The move means all 60 staff and vehicles will be located on a single site, which benefits from a substantial yard, 24/7 estate CCTV monitoring and close proximity the M6 Toll Road.

Tully said: “We’ve been in Cannock for seven years but we need more space. This unit has everything we need in terms of space and for the vehicles. We used to be based in Burntwood and most of our staff live there, so the new location will be very convenient.”

The unit is undergoing refurbishment and Roadtech Cutting Services hopes to move in and operate from there in April.

Existing tenants at the business park include Pro Freight Solutions, Partridge Transport Services and Dairy Crest.
