TheBusinessDesk.com becomes official media partner to BYPY

THIS year’s Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) awards will see TheBusinessDesk.com coming on board as official media partner.

BYPY – now in its 14th year – recognises and rewards the most talented individuals within Birmingham’s business community.

It is the flagship event of professional services organisation Birmingham Future.

Around 1,000 professionals are expected to attend the “glamorous and glitzy” awards evening at Birmingham’s ICC on May 1.

Candidates compete across six different categories: Legal, property & construction, finance, HR, recruitment and training, marketing & communications and technology.

In addition, there will be awards recognizing aspiring talent and inspiring leader.

Claudia Santillo, chair of BYPY, said: “We are really looking forward to working with TheBusinessDesk as our media partner for BYPY 2014.

“The crossover in terms of target audience makes the relationship a natural fit and TheBusinessDesk.com’s daily bulletin will ensure that the BYPY finalists have the profile that they deserve.”

Andy Coyne, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com in the West Midlands, said: “BYPY has become something of an institution in a relatively short period of time and the awards evening has gained a reputation as one of the best black tie nights of the year.

“But underlying that is the event’s true purpose which is to highlight and reward aspiring professional talent in the Second City.

“News relating to that sector is a key component of TheBusinessDesk.com’s offering and we are delighted to be official partner for this year’s BYPY awards.

“We look forward to bringing you news of the short-lists and then announcing the winners on the morning of May 2.”
