JLR’s new Discovery concept given its UK debut in the West Midlands

BRITISH buyers will be given their first taste of Jaguar Land Rover’s new Discovery concept at an event in the West Midlands this weekend.

Land Rover’s Discovery Vision Concept was revealed for the first time at this year’s New York Motor Show in April. However, the UK has yet to witness the revolutionary new vehicle, which offers a glimpse of where the Discovery is headed.

The concept vehicle will be one of the main attractions at the Eastnor Land Rover Show at Eastnor Castle’s Deer Park, near Ledbury.

The theme of this year’s show is the 25th anniversary of the Discovery and in keeping with this, the new concept vehicle will line up alongside the very first Discovery model off the production line back in 1989.

The Discovery Vision Concept hints at Land Rover’s technology and design direction for a future family of Discovery vehicles.

The first model of the new Discovery range is due in 2015. The concept car previewed at the US show features what Jaguar Land Rover describes as “dynamic new design language and an array of innovative versatility and capability features”. It is also packed with the latest pioneering technologies developed by JLR’s advanced research division.
